According to INSTAT, more than 90% of seasonal work is undisclosed, which is actually really worrying. In the absence of a binding scheme towards these subjects, for them to declare youth jobs, then the best way to face this phenomenon and to try to minimize that as much as possible, is youth information about their working rights. This way, youths will have the ability to get everything that belongs to them according to Albanian legislation.

In the last five years, the government has taken baby steps in empowering professional schools, creating internship programs etc., but has never mention youths seasonal work. In this situation, private sector does not have any visible differences in hiring youngsters and improving working conditions.

Project will be implemented in three phases:

Realizimi I një sondazhi për të kuptuar sesa I njohin të rinjtë e shkollave të mesme profesionale të drejtat e tyre në punë; Krijimi I një fushate online dhe offline me informacione në lidhje me punësimin sezonal, të cilat do të mund t’iu vijnë në ndihmë target -grupit të caktuar.

Krijimi I një cikli trajnimesh për të rinjtë mbi kontratat, organizimin sindikal dhe të drejtat në punë.

Projekti do të zbatohet gjatë periudhës janar – dhjetor 2021 në shkollat e mesme profesionale të 11 qyteteve të Shqipërisë: Tiranë, Kamëz, Durrës, Korçë, Vlorë, Elbasan, Sarandë, Pogradec, Berat, Shkodër dhe Lezhë. Shkollat e Mesme të përzgjedhura do të jenë 13 dhe zgjedhja e tyre është tentuar të realizohet në mënyrë të drejtë bazuar në shpërndarjen e tyre gjeografike.

The main purpose of this project is raise awareness between the youth in professional high school about their working conditions, the rights and responsibilities, focusing also in the importance of unions and Albanian legislation. This project includes the following objectives:

1. T’iu japë informacion të rinjve mbi kontratat e punësimit, sindikatat, kushtet e punës, sigurimin shoqëror e shëndetësor etj;
2. Të rrisë kapacitetet organizative dhe komunikative në politikat e punësimit rinor, sidomod të punësimit sezonal;
3. Të inkurarojë dhe të forcojë bashkëpuniin midis institucioneve publike dhe sektorit privat për të përmirësuar advokimin mbi kushtet e punës sezonale;
4. Të informojë dhe të këshillojë të rinjve mbi orientimin e tyre professional.

This project is expected to affect a large number of high school students, who eventually will be skilled enough to demand their working rights and to have respectable job.
