High school students will have one more opportunity to develope and promote their talent in music, multimedia, dance and acting. LIBURNETIK Organization and the Municipality of Tirana have restored the old tradition of ‘’Rinfest’’, but this time with a new name, ‘’Tirana Art Fest’’, a project dedicated exclusively to students of high schools of the capital and aims to promote young talents in the field of art.
This project was presented today, on the grounds of TEN Center. Mr. Erjon Veliaj, mayor of Tirana and some well-known artists received the word of honor at the presentation of TAF and presented to the public the importance of this project, which aims at the revitalization of youth artistic and cultural life of the capital and the way it will be developed.
LIBURNETIK, as the initiator of this project encourages high school students of Tirana involved in this project to participate massively, having it as an opportunity that every young person to discover his talent and as already stated Mr. Veliaj, art has the power to change mindsets and prejudices carried in a society.
“Tirana Art Fest” will be held at 14 public high schools of Tirana and will include competition in four disciplines: singing, dancing, theater and multimedia. Singing will include solo sonës, duets and singing in groups, albanian sonës or foreign ones; Dancing will include solo dance, dance in pairs or in groups; Theatre will have performances in poetry, monologues, comedy, parts from films or theaters, etc., while in multimedia will be free topics of cheap, short feature films, photographs, etc.
The project will be extended in 4 phases: in the first phase will be held auditions and for each school will be selected two students for each discipline, making a total of 8 students per school. The second phase will be devoted to mini-competive shows for each discipline. In the third phase will take place the semi-final and the final in the fourth stage, where will be announced the winners of each of the 4 disciplines.
The purpose of this project is the revitalization of youth artistic and cultural life, promoting and encouraging young artists of high schools, education and entertainment of youth, and contribute to the fight against negative social phenomena.
